Instrumentation & Electrical Technician - Rock Hill, SC


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot instrument & electrical systems within all units of plant.
  • Perform loop checks & other Capitol project support when needed.
  • Perform PMs per plant procedures.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install new or used process equipment as needed. 
  • Maintain inventory.
  • Perform configuration of various instruments utilizing Hart protocol.
  • Identify instrumentation and electrical needs including the design and installation of the same. 
  • Support other maintenance activities as well as additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Direct plant experience in a chemical plant or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient ability to calibrate, test, troubleshoot and install instrumentation and electrical equipment.
  • Must be able to work with other plant functions including mechanical maintenance, reliability, and operations.
  • Knowledge of Rosemount instrumentation preferred.
  • Knowledge of Delta-V distributed control systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of corrosive materials such as sulfuric acid, or hydrochloric acid.
  • Ability to size and install rigid conduit.
  • Computer skills - requires the use of office computers.
  • Ability and willingness to work call-ins and scheduled maintenance overtime to meet the needs of business; Including being able to stay for needed maintenance work with very short notice in unforeseen circumstances.

Pay rate: $33 to $49/hr. based on experience
