Instrumentation Technician
Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and recommend suitable instrumentation devices for diverse applications.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and contribute to resolving major breakdowns on a large scale.
- Coordinate and oversee minor projects.
- Liaise with contractors effectively.
- Diagnose and repair various components, processes, and equipment.
- Perform electrical repairs following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) protocols.
- Interpret electrical and controls layouts and communicate necessary revisions.
- Troubleshoot and adjust PLC and HMI programs. Install, configure, and calibrate instruments and devices.
- Deliver electrical SOP training sessions to technicians.
- Conduct safety and efficiency tests on equipment.
- Utilize a range of electrical troubleshooting equipment such as O-scopes, multi-meters, amp probes, megometers, etc.
- Support Industrial Technicians in mechanical repairs and installations.
- Utilize basic instruments for machine condition monitoring.
- Contribute to the plant's lubrication program.
- Actively participate in the company's Safety Program.
- Be available for overtime work as needed.
Assist the plant with additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Three to five years of relevant experience and/or training.
- Flexibility to work on-call, during nights, and on weekends.
- Proficiency in Siemens S7 (300, 400, 1500) and familiarity with specific programming standards.
