Instrumentation Technician

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
 

  • Evaluate and recommend suitable instrumentation devices for diverse applications.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and contribute to resolving major breakdowns on a large scale.
  • Coordinate and oversee minor projects.
  • Liaise with contractors effectively.
  • Diagnose and repair various components, processes, and equipment.
  • Perform electrical repairs following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) protocols.
  • Interpret electrical and controls layouts and communicate necessary revisions.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust PLC and HMI programs. Install, configure, and calibrate instruments and devices.
  • Deliver electrical SOP training sessions to technicians.
  • Conduct safety and efficiency tests on equipment.
  • Utilize a range of electrical troubleshooting equipment such as O-scopes, multi-meters, amp probes, megometers, etc.
  • Support Industrial Technicians in mechanical repairs and installations.
  • Utilize basic instruments for machine condition monitoring.
  • Contribute to the plant's lubrication program.
  • Actively participate in the company's Safety Program.
  • Be available for overtime work as needed.

Assist the plant with additional tasks as assigned.
 
 
Requirements:

  • Three to five years of relevant experience and/or training.
  •  Flexibility to work on-call, during nights, and on weekends.
  •  Proficiency in Siemens S7 (300, 400, 1500) and familiarity with specific programming standards.
