Instrumentation & Electrical Construction Field Superintendent

The Instrumentation/Electrical Construction Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing Large Project Instrumentation and Electrical construction activities to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget on behalf of the client. This role serves as the primary on-site leader, managing construction execution teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring all work meets established quality and safety standards.
Supervise Field Construction Team to deliver daily on-site construction activities and enforce compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Serve as the client's primary point of contact for field construction activities.
Manage construction crews and coordinate subcontractors to maintain productivity and workflow.
Monitor project progress using scheduling tools and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Support Project controls team in management of change orders, RFI, schedule extensions or variances
Utilize and interpret project schedules to prioritize and manage project timelines.
Ensure all work is completed on time and within budget constraints.
Oversee and manage including ensuring proper documentation and Safe Work Permits (SWP), adherence to the quality assurance plan.
Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards.
Assist in resolving construction-related disputes and addressing client concerns.
Support bid document preparation and assist in the development and vetting of job packages.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
Proven experience in construction supervision or project management
Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and industrial safety practices
Working knowledge of Instrumentation and Electrical construction practices
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, Loop Drawings, Electrical Schematics
Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a large capital project environment.
