Responsibilities: 
  • Conducts sampling on petroleum, by products and water samples following ASTM, UOP, EPA and other standard test procedures.
  • Reports completed test results to the appropriate department and record results.
  • Collects product samples as required.
  • Responsible for safe and proper disposal of excess samples and containers.
  • Maintains adequate inventory of chemicals and glassware.
  • Responsible for participating in safety meetings, safety programs, safety audits, VPP inspections, and job safety analysis.

Requirements: 
  • High school diploma or GED; without prior experience two years of college Chemistry
  • Two years minimum experience in a petroleum or chemical laboratory without two years of college Chemistry
  • Must be able to work a rotating twelve-hour shift including extended hours, weekends, holidays and overtime. 
  • Environment requires wearing fire retardant clothing and protective gear as required.
