Machinery Planner

Location: Flexible - Houston TX, Geismar LA, or remote if willing to travel
Travel: 25-45%
Schedule: 40 hours per week prior to turnaround execution, OT as required and during turnaround (7/13s) with fatigue days every 14 days. Initial turnarounds supported would be in Louisiana with a majority of the work occurring Louisiana, Texas, and California.

We'll evaluate this individual for the initial turnaround and potentially future turnarounds. Looking for someone with previous planning experience. The HYCO turnarounds are typically in the 3-6 week duration range for reference.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

· Work requires working from heights, climbing fixed ladders, and stairs, etc.


QUALIFICATIONS:

· Ability to read and understand P&IDs, ISO's, piping isometrics, fixed equipment design packages, and pipe specs.

· Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook) OneNote, SAP, Primavera P6.

· Experience with piping design and understanding of ASME B31.1 and ASME B31.3

· 10+ years' experience in maintenance and/or engineering disciplines, preferably with experience in industrial outages, exchangers, pumps, hydrotesting and pipe fabrication


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Lead assigned portion of outage scope through planning and construction

· Develop scope for assigned work orders within the outage, identifying secondary and/or support disciplines required.

· Create detailed planning activities in P6 for each work order utilizing planning templates as applicable. Activities include individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline.

· Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution.

· Create job planning packages for each work order for both internal and external distribution, e.g. bid events, contractor field personnel, etc. Packages may include pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.

· Support Management of Change process, recognizing plant changes and following through on all documentation and recommendations in a timely manner.

· Provide contractor field management in all outage phases for assigned contractors, including safety, timesheet verification, field oversight, change orders, and QC verification.

· Uphold and communicate high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and on all job sites. Conduct frequent formal housekeeping inspections of plant areas.

· Complete close out and documentation as required by standards and procedures.


PERFORMANCE STANDARD:

· Willing to work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours, following strict fatigue management guidelines. Travel may be required as much as 25-45% depending on projects
