THIS IS A JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION:

Entry level position in maintenance planning department. Requires 1-3yrs experience in maintenance/operations, strong computer skills and experience with CMMS software. Primary duties include reviews of P&ID drawings and asset data from capital projects and entering data into maintenance CMMS software. Other duties include assisting in the development of detail job plans by performing field walk downs based on scope of work to identify craft resources, equipment and material required to execute the work. Break scope items down into steps which can be progressed during execution. Assist in the procurement of required material/outside services. Enter all steps into a database. Notify the EPC planner when scope is complete and ready to be scheduled. Assist in monitoring progress of field activities.


Planner/Scheduler

Defines, creates and maintains the production schedules based upon demand planning, actual customer demand, internal capacity constraints, and factors affecting schedule compliance. Monitors materials inventories, tracks manufacturing progress and reviews dynamics of production schedule utilization. Monitors and maintains planning system. Tracks and monitors schedule compliance and capacity utilization. Executes ERP processes and report functions, providing timely data and information used to drive the business and schedule decision making process. Plans and establishes the production schedule and tracks manufacturing progress.

Physical requirements

The ability to read at a level to understand written safety procedures, work procedures, blueprints, P&IDs, work permits, and technical instruction manuals is required.
A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment is required.
Basic computer skills such as opening, creating, and updating content in MS Word documents and Excel spreadsheets is required.
The ability to assume responsibility, prioritize and respond to multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a business like and professional manner is required.
Works indoors and outdoors in and around industrial and electrical equipment.
Works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment.
Climbs and works at various heights and may work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched, or kneeling position.
Routinely reacts to visual, aural, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work.
Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level and lift up to 50 lbs., manually transport a load up to 75 lbs., apply up to 100-foot lbs. of torque.
Must have ability to get in and out of vehicles regularly and ride over rough roads.
Must wear special safety equipment while working
The ability to work overtime is required.
Must live or relocate to within 1 hour of reporting location.
