We are currently looking for a Maintenance Scheduler/Planner for routine reactive and preventative maintenance work in Anacortes, WA.
Long-term opportunity.
Hourly wage: up to $70 per hour – based on experience.
Local candidates only. No per diem/no relocation assistance.

Basic Function
The Maintenance Scheduler works closely with Operations and Maintenance supervision to produce an integrated, balanced, and priority based executable schedule for all site routine maintenance craft.
Job Duties
- Ensures maintenance resources are scheduled to 100% of available capacity.
- Coordinates with Operations and Maintenance to assure work is scheduled according to priority and in a sequence that maximizes efficiency.
- Finalizes and publishes maintenance schedules on time according to the established process flow.
- Participates in, and facilitates, daily and weekly scheduling meetings with Operations and Maintenance.
- Continuously identifies and implements improvement opportunities to maximize the efficiency of the Maintenance Execution work process.
- Assures mandated preventative Maintenance plans are created and accurate.
- Validates preventative maintenance plans are updated with inputs from RCM, EI and IPF processes.
- Creates visibility of work execution to due dates.
- Reports and documents deferrals for mandatory preventative maintenance tasks that cannot be completed.
- Attends and provides input for RCM Living Programs and Bad Actor Reviews.
- Works to continuously improve PM plans, strategies and schedule coordination.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of job-related experience is required.
Education Level
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Required Skills
Proficiency in SAP preferred. Proficiency in the use of Prometheus or a similar maintenance scheduling tool desired. Candidates should have strong communication skills, ability to facilitate large meetings, and have a continuous improvement mindset.
PREFERRED: Knowledge of refinery operations and maintenance.
Work Conditions
Office and field based with up to 5% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment, and driver based environment, including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment and working in confined spaces. Subject to varying road and weather conditions. Periodic overtime required. Required to respond to plant related emergencies and be available after hours during critical business situations depending on location.
Physical Requirements
Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise finger and hand movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 30lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 50lbs, climbing up to 200ft, and ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates, perceiving color differences, ability to wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted), and strenuous physical activity.
