Maintenance Scheduler
Client: Chemical Plant
Location: Geismar, La
Duration: 1- 2 years or longer
Schedule: 4/10's

The Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing schedules to ensure efficient resource utilization and timely completion of PMs, maintenance repairs and some operations functions. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across multiple maintenance disciplines and departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop daily, weekly, and long-term schedules for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with planning, operations, and maintenance teams to align schedules with all departments.
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes, delays, or emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate schedule updates and changes to stakeholders promptly and clearly.
- Analyze scheduling data to identify trends, improve efficiency, and reduce downtime.
- Utilize scheduling software and tools to manage and track activities. Proficient
Resource & Material Coordination:
- Ensure labor, tools, and materials are available for scheduled work.
- Track procurement and delivery of critical parts to avoid delays.
System & Tools:
- Utilize CMMS (e.g., Maximo and Maximo Scheduler) and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) for planning and reporting. Excel, Word, and Hexagon.
- Maintain accurate data in the system for work orders, job plans, and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years in maintenance scheduling or planning within a chemical or industrial plant.
- Familiarity with turnaround planning and execution.
