Manager of Maintenance & Engineering

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee engineering and maintenance functions across multiple manufacturing facilities. This leadership role is vital to ensuring effective planning, execution, and continuous improvement of maintenance operations, as well as successful delivery of engineering projects. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, team leadership, and a results-driven mindset focused on operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Maintenance Operations
  • Lead engineering projects such as new installations, facility upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement a maintenance strategy that emphasizes preventive maintenance, asset longevity, and minimal downtime.
  • Oversee all aspects of asset management, including inspection schedules and spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all applicable safety regulations and industry codes.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineering and maintenance professionals across multiple sites.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and innovation focused on continuous improvement and reliability.
Budgeting & Vendor Relations
  • Create and manage department budgets with a focus on cost savings, operational efficiency, and safety.
  • Source vendors, manage contracts, and ensure high standards for equipment, tools, and services.
Process Optimization & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Use CMMS tools and data analytics to monitor performance and drive process improvements.
  • Partner with operations, quality, and supply chain teams to align goals and enhance productivity.
Innovation & Industry Awareness
  • Stay up to date with advancements in technology and best practices in engineering and maintenance.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, systems, or methodologies to improve performance and sustainability.
Required Qualifications:
Skills & Expertise
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating cross-functional teams.
  • Solid foundation in engineering principles, maintenance strategies, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
  • Experience with CMMS systems and data-informed maintenance planning.
  • Proven project management skills across complex, multi-phase initiatives.
  • Understanding of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.

Education & Experience
