Role Description:
Position provides guidance and support in all planning and scheduling aspects relating to the turnaround schedule development and execution tracking. Position supports the Director of Turnarounds and will collaborate with turnaround planning and scheduling (P/S) resources across the company.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain engagement with Long Range Turnaround Portfolio and Turnaround Management verifying credibility and value within planning and scheduling including auditing and supporting BUs or segments to secure resources as needed
Verify turnarounds establish credible schedules appropriate for best practices based on scope, complexity, turnaround development and execution and include critical path evaluations, base lining, float and contingency analysis, resources loading, productivity, progress tracking, deviations and corrective actions, evaluation of schedule basis completeness, and connectivity to contractor or turnaround plans or schedules
Collaborate with and guide other planning and scheduling resources across the company on policies, procedure, and workflow
Recognize business diversity when establishing or enhancing these key practices and principles, balancing 'right-sizing', value, and sustaining rigor for turnaround development and execution
Identify planning and scheduling metrics and implement roll out of metrics for reporting across all segments in a systemic manner in order to assist those responsible for reporting and verifying training with understanding
Lead schedule optimization reviews
Work closely with the Cost and Estimating SME to deliver balance between cost and schedule aspect of turnaround and portfolio management
Qualifications & Skills for Success:
Portfolio management level planning and scheduling experience
Minimum of 7 years of turnaround scheduling control experience with a strong background in planning (turnaround and FEL efforts including decision making and risk management), schedule development, schedule monitoring, progressing and tracking, and reportingDiverse experience:
Turnaround size experience, small and large efforts of planning and scheduling, <$5M to $100M
Turnaround complexity, highly complex, and also simplicity in approach
Turnaround type, experience with planning and scheduling for infrastructure turnarounds (buildings, power upgrades, etc.), refining or similar production improvement related turnaround (major turnarounds, debottleneck, or expansion)
