Schedule: 5/8s, during TAR will be 7x12
Duration: 6month long
Responsibilities:
- Perform work activities efficiently while continuously looking for cost-saving opportunities
- Become knowledgeable of and maintain a copy of the site's material management system, procedures, and practices
- View materials, tools, and equipment requests in the site's procurement system and confirm delivery date
- Operate a forklift to receive and expedite construction materials for major projects including, but not limited to, boxes and pallets as necessary and requested
- Communicate the order and delivery status by setting various material status/flags throughout the work order cycle
- Monitor and track materials, tools, and equipment orders upon receipt
- Arrange materials, tools, and equipment in a manner that it can be identified and picked up according to job needs
- View materials as required by job plans are available on job site in procurement system
- Analyze and recommend resolutions of work problems or assist workers in solving work problems
- Understands workflow processes and SAP warehousing functionality.
- Identify inventory discrepancies, receiving discrepancies and damaged material and takes appropriate action.
- Establishes and maintains effective methods of communication with Supervisor, co-workers, customer groups and Supply Chain personnel.
- Unload and visually inspect all material at receiving dock area for damage, loss, or defects.
- Compare physically received material to supplier packing lists and purchase orders
- Complete and provide Over/Short and Damaged (OS&D) report to the Warehouse Supervisor or assigned buyer.
- Determine material destination (i.e., warehouse stock, staging, or requestor)
- Ensure materials are properly identified and clearly labeled.
Requirements:
- Must have Excel and previous O&G, construction or refinery material handling experience
- Minimum of 3 years working material coordinator position supporting maintenance, projects, or turnarounds in petrochemical facilities (preferred)
- Knowledgeable of various mechanical skills (metal trades, electrical, rotating equipment, instrumentation, etc.)
- Ability to work well with other multi-disciplines crews, planners, and execution coordinators
- Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
