PTS Advance is hiring a Mechanical CAD Technician for our client in Kansas City, MO with a massive footprint across engineering, construction, architecture, technology and more. This role is an immediate need and is actively interviewing.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

• Assist technical teams of designers, detailers, and engineers to create detail on a variety of projects, completed to the highest standard
• Prep new drawings and revise existing engineering drawings of basic components from layouts/specific sketches
• Adhere to client/company drafting standards & procedures
• Adhere to all drafting practices of selected discipline
• Assist in documentation/drafting design for various projects, tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs, and continuous drafting detail improvement efforts
• Research solutions to project concerns and present to design problems
• Assist in various projects as assigned by manager

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma AND coursework in drafting technology
• OR specialized CAD certification
• OR 1-year relevant drafting experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer aided design or drafting experience preferred
• Basic knowledge/understanding of commands in at least one CAD program
• Ability to use higher level commands, time saving programs, & routines
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
• Motivated with an aptitude to grow
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
