Mechanical-Piping Design Engineer
Job Experience:
5+ years of experience with the design and layout of piping systems for heavy industrial, oil and gas, refining, and pipeline facilities. Must have field experience in the related work environment and be familiar with the use and care of personal safety equipment.
Education:
BS preferred but not mandatory
Key Attributes:
Must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and assist with development of mechanical construction packages. Ability to interface with clients and direct junior staff and CAD resource. Must demonstrate the ability to interface with the client shop personnel, inspection staff, and construction contractors. Must understand and apply all client and safety policies. Have knowledge of drawing filing systems with experience in performing drawing searches.

Technical Capabilities:
In addition to demonstrating superior skills in the Mechanical-Piping category, The Designer must have the following capabilities:
- Requires superior communications skills, both written and verbal
- Communicate ownership responsibilities across department platforms to achieve 3D modeling for project success.
- Develop detailed 2-D engineering drawings using AutoCAD and other software.
- Create piping and instrumentation diagrams using AutoCAD.
- Used API codes to qualify process equipment.
- Develop field sketches and designs for various piping projects.
- Task with the role of drawing checker for the mechanical group.
- Create 3D models of pipe installations, supports, and skids
- Proficient in Autodesk platform (Plant 3D).
Pay: $70-$75hr.
