Maintenance Engineer - Ringwood, IL

As the Maintenance Engineer you will:  

• Understand safety and equipment procedures.
• Provide root cause analysis for maintenance related issues and failures providing recommendations for rectification.
• Maintain and improve preventative and predictive maintenance program.
• Schedule maintenance work for craftsmen and contractors.
• Manage part selection and quoting to support scheduled maintenance work.
• Communicates directly with procurement assistance regarding parts required and inventory levels needed to complete all scheduled Work Orders and PM Orders.
• Perform maintenance related projects to support continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain computerized maintenance management system.
• Assist in maintaining storeroom to ensure inventory is correct and what is in inventory meets the service goals of the department.
• Liaison between internal customers, vendors and contractors to achieve job tasks.
• Identify and prioritize multiple projects and work streams.
• Preparation of reports, metrics, and other tracking tools.
• Ensure department documentation and record keeping is in good order.
• Share job knowledge and experience with site personnel to develop, train, and enhance the skill set of all team members.
• Proactively perform Systems lifecycle assessments to identify obsolete equipment and recommend suitable replacements.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of manufacturing industry experience
• Ability to perform across mechanical and electrical fields
• Advanced troubleshooting skills
• Root cause analysis 
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred
