Mechanical Planner
Client: Chemical Plant
Location: Plaquemine, La
Duration: 12 months could go permanent
Schedule: 5/8's M-F has a potential to become 4/10's later down the road

Mechanical Planner Role Description:
Develop detailed job plans and work packages to include the following:
- Resource requirements
- Safety plans
- Job steps and procedures
- Drawings and specifications
- Tasks durations
- Material and equipment needs
- Understand field resourcing needs and work scope for each job
- Incorporate reliability best practices in job plans
- Interface directly with Operations and technical to verify complete understanding field resourcing needs of work scope for each job
- Coordinate planning of multi-craft job plans with other craft planners
- Update plans with any approved scope changes
- Adjust plans with feedback from Execution
- Confirm with execution coordinators the progress of key milestones
- Manage detailed line-item work list and provide routine update to Client
- Work directly with scheduler to finalize and optimize integrated work activities
- Prepare package tasking details to guide field crews to perform safe and efficient field repairs
Qualifications & Skills for Success:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a planner in the petrochemical industry (preferred)
- Ability to understand field changes and red-line drawings
- Ability to coordinate the work activities and schedules of multi-craft field work crews
