PTS Advance is looking for a Piping designer with strong ISO skills using AutoCAD to assist a part time position starting in January 2024. Will need to have support for a 2-4-month period, depending on possible/preferred schedule (Client is open to flexible scheduling vs. mandating 40hr weeks on the project). LOCAL Candidates only. No per diem.
Project Info:
- Drafting piping isometrics to support current and future inspection projects. Cross reference against existing P&IDs and redline as necessary.
- Pipe is located at grade, in pipe racks, and within buildings.
- Field inspectors have made initial hand-sketched isometrics, we need a drafter to put them in AutoCAD and do field walks to confirm accuracy.
- Site is NOT the refinery - no requirement for OSCA, drug-testing, etc. Site requires appropriate footwear and long sleeve clothes and pants - no fire-retardant uniforms or hard hats are required.

Responsibilities:
- Create and modify drawings using AutoCAD software.
- Read and interpret redlined drawings produced by inspectors and engineers.
- Produce as-built drawings, construction installation details, and equipment arrangements using AutoCAD software in coordination with engineers and other designers.
- Conduct site visits to verify in-field conditions of piping and equipment.
- Perform thorough quality reviews of project turnover drawings to ensure drawings meet the minimum requirements for publishing to the drawing management system.
Qualifications/Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with AutoCAD, preferably in the oil and gas industry
- Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation
- Ability to perform field verification of said updates within industrial facility.
- Experience with developing and updating Process Safety Information (PSI) and Non-PSI drawings.
Technical Knowledge:
- Extensive experience working in the petroleum refining industry.
- Proficient in recent versions of AutoCAD software
