Plant Electrical Engineer 

Our client is a leading manufacturer of industrial-grade, beverage-grade, and fuel-grade ethanol and co-products. The company operates over a 130 million gallons per year at the production plant, which is among the largest industrial alcohol facilities in the U.S., with a long history of successful operations. DESCRIPTION
The Electrical Engineer role is planned as support for the client's facility. This Engineer will apply technical knowledge and expertise in support of electrical system projects including repair, modernization, safety and operational improvement, capital planning. Successful candidate will have strong understanding of and experience with electrical distribution equipment, service transformers, switchgear, switchboard, motor control centers, distribution system layout, and lighting.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support arc-flash remediation projects from scope inception to active construction.
* Engineer and implement solutions to correct deficiencies identified from system studies.
* Generate equipment specification.
* Evaluate system/equipment failures and collaborate to determine root cause.
* Perform field work facilitating and advising internal company and contracted personnel
* Coordinate and collaborate with maintenance and production teams.
* Provide technical support and training to others when necessary.
* Provide update and documentation.
* Will routinely work around electrical systems with high available fault currents, high (arc) incident energy, and shock potential.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Electrical power distribution and design experience
* National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E certification
* Solid understanding of common electrical systems drawings and documentation, such as electrical plans and elevations, conduit, and cable schedules, one-line diagrams, MCC and switchgear layouts and
details, electrical panel schedules, wiring and motor-control diagrams, schematics, P&IDs, lighting plans, specification sheets, and motor lists.
* BSEE, Journeyman, or Master Electrician license is preferred but not required.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Experience with SKM PowerTools software preferred but not required.
