 Overview
 
 Our client is seeking a leader in Stormwater Capture, Infiltration, and Wastewater Design to manage our Environmental Engineering, Construction & Remediation (ECR) Water Design Practice in Southern California. This role requires a strong technical, business development and management background as well as a solid reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships. This full-time position reports to the ECR Southern California Business Unit Leader. 

 
 Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leadership and operation of business by performing client outreach and by providing direction on major project pursuits and marketing efforts.
  • Maintain quality and profitability on  projects as well as assisting with managing and developing skill sets of Project Managers and other employees and resources to ensure our projects are executed with a high level of efficiency and technical excellence.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, and deliver responsive, high-quality services.
  • Direct, manage and monitor multiple project budgets, scopes and schedules for regulatory submittals and other consulting documents.
  • Lead and mentor project managers on strategic pursuits, including proposal development and client meetings, and help maintain strong relationships with key leaders within their geographic region. 
  • Perform Quality Analysis/Quality Control of key deliverables related to projects and tasks managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others, and are responsible for implementation of the firms' quality procedures at project and task levels.
  • Identify and market new clients in their geographic region.
  • Interface well with and develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees.
  • Maintain a current book of business along with a billable utilization target.

 Qualifications
 
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Related master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer registration in the State of California
  • Minimum of fifteen (10) years' experience leading project teams and managing technical staff under a Seller/Doer business model within consulting/engineering firms.
  • Possess strong and excellent verbal, written, presentation and client management skills; demonstrated ability leading and managing complex projects; as well as being goal oriented, quality focused, and have demonstrated success with creating and fostering a team environment.
  • Proven track record with business development, business management and oversight of regional businesses.
  • Technical project expertise in municipal stormwater conveyance system, stormwater capture system, stormwater infiltration systems, and wastewater system design and construction.
  • Manage the condition assessment, planning, rehabilitation, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and recycled water conveyance projects.
  • Experience selling 500k+ yearly net revenue of environmental compliance and remediation services to new and existing clients in a Seller/Doer consulting services business model.
  • Experience managing cross disciplinary engineering teams and front-end project design projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current client relationships in the Southern California stormwater and wastewater design market.
  • Client relationships with the City of Los Angeles and the County of Los Angeles.
  • Experience designing and constructing stormwater capture and infiltration systems.
  • Experience designing and constructing municipal wastewater systems.
  • Ability to recruit additional design team professional engineers to grow the capacity of the team to pursue larger projects.
Compensation:
 
 160k - 200k/annually.
