What You Will Do

  • Lead the Process Control Team and take accountability for converting control systems
  • Develop the capability of individual team members
  • Build partnerships with plant personnel to identify opportunities and solve problems
  • Lead the development, planning, and execution of controls strategy across simultaneous projects and support activities
  • Own execution of controls projects and initiatives, including system design, testing, component specification, documentation management, vendor/contractor management, equipment procurement, installation, and start-up support
  • Provide process control support for controls optimization, reliability and quality improvement initiatives, cost reduction efforts, capital projects, and safety initiatives
  • Prioritize resources toward plant strategies and opportunities with the highest value


Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with process control systems, including industry-standard PLCs
  • Demonstrated experience and success leading process control staff in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring visa sponsorship or transfer


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Pulp and Paper industry
  • Experience with Texas Instrument, Giddings & Lewis, or Siemens PLCs
  • Experience with control system network topology (e.g., Ethernet, ControlNet, and firewalls)
  • Experience designing, supporting, and troubleshooting control systems
