Process Engineer/Project Manager - Hybrid
Our client is a global specialty and intermediate chemical manufacturer that produces surfactants, polymers, and specialty chemicals. Their products are widely used in industries such as personal care, household cleaning, agriculture, oilfield solutions, construction, and coatings.
Client is looking for Hybrid Process Engineer / Project Manager to join our team. This unique role will blend technical process engineering expertise with project management responsibilities, ensuring the successful execution of plant improvement projects, process optimizations, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Engineering
* Complete conceptual process designs for small projects.
* Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and mass/energy balances.
* Support the site's Management of Change (MOC) process.
Project Management
* Lead and execute capital and process improvement projects from concept to completion.
* Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations.
* Manage vendor relationships, including contractor selection, negotiations, and on-site coordination.
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout project execution.
* Support On-site construction activities.

Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
* Experience: 3-7 years in process engineering, project management, or a related role within the chemical, manufacturing, or industrial sector.
* Project Management Skills: Experience managing capital projects and working with stage-gate project processes.
* Technical Expertise: Knowledge of chemical plant operations and engineering best practices.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA, PSM (Process Safety Management), EPA regulations, and industry standards.
* Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
* Certifications (Preferred): PMP Certification, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing training.
