Work Location: Hybrid in Rocklin, CA 95765 one day a week
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri / 8am-5pm
Pay Rate: $60 - $65/hr. (based on experience)

PROJECT CONTROLS ANALYST 
Cost Plan Development and Analysis:
• Leverage cost and schedule plans to evaluate the feasibility of project objectives, particularly for undergrounding and system hardening initiatives. Create, maintain, and update monthly forecast budgets to ensure financial accuracy.
• Prepare detailed project performance analyses, including cost and schedule status reports, and identify variances from objectives. Recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Assess and report on project performance using established industry standards, ensuring alignment with PG&E's regulatory and operational requirements.
• Provide accurate and timely responses to project budget inquiries, including GRC (General Rate Case) and FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) cost requests, ensuring stakeholder concurrence.
• Communicate project cost and risk status regularly to team members, stakeholders, and external parties, ensuring alignment with PG&E's safety and reliability goals.
• Interface with design and planning teams, utilizing appropriate software systems to ensure seamless integration of cost and schedule data.
• Assist in the preparation and approval routing of Advance Authorizations, Job Estimates, and Re-Authorizations, ensuring compliance with PG&E's financial and operational standards.
• Process journal entries and coordinate goods receipts in PG&E's financial systems, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
• Maintain accurate logs for scope changes, contingency releases, change orders, and journal entries to ensure financial transparency and accountability.

Schedule Development and Management:
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and project team to develop, maintain, and control detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with PG&E's system hardening and undergrounding objectives.
• Utilize the project schedule as the foundation for creating and managing cost plans. Regularly monitor and track project forecasts by coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure expenditures remain within approved budgets.
• Actively participate in, and occasionally lead, project kickoff meetings, site walkdowns, and other planning sessions to ensure alignment with program goals.
• Document, monitor, and communicate key project milestones, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and proactive issue resolution.
• Lead the project team in developing and updating project plans, participating in status meetings, collecting progress data, and revising schedules as necessary to meet program objectives.

Project Documentation and Reporting:
• Verify that project cost and schedule milestones are achieved, and provide input to identify opportunities for process or business improvements. Collaborate with responsible parties to implement changes.
• Manage project orders from inception to completion, ensuring all required documentation is entered into PG&E's project management systems.
• Resolve open items, ensure compliance requirements are met, and close out orders with appropriate settlement rules.
• Maintain comprehensive written and electronic project documentation, including project files, in accordance with PG&E's established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Document and track change order requests, project status updates, key issues, risks, resolutions, priority changes, and approvals to ensure alignment with program objectives.
• Provide the Project Manager with detailed monthly reports on project costs and schedule performance, including variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Deliver regular status updates to project team members, including cost and schedule information, ensuring compliance with PG&E's Utility Operations Policies, Standards, and Guidelines.
• Assist the Project Manager with post-job critiques to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement in future system hardening and undergrounding projects.
