We are seeking a Project Development Engineer (PDE) to lead the front end scope development phase for a variety of small to large capital projects, outages/turnarounds, and life extension analysis in our fleet of company owned and operated facilities (hydrogen, air separation, and others) located throughout North America.  

  • Geographical Scope:   USA and Canada
  • Budget Planning Responsibility: $5-50 million per project
 
Responsibilities:
  • Scope and Estimates - Drive Front End Loading of large capital, turnaround, and life extension scopes for operating plants.   Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering functions to develop scopes based on risk evaluation.  Estimation of capital projects and turnarounds.  Identify long lead capital requirements.
  • Schedules - Develop schedules for capital projects and turnarounds, working with operations and commercial teams to prioritize business needs. 
  • Financials - Write expenditure funding requests for capital projects and turnarounds. Familiarity with estimating financial impacts of proposed projects, such as with pay back periods, depreciation impacts, asset write off, etc.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement of work processes and tools

Skills and Experience:
  • 1+ years of experience in capital project management, maintenance, outages, and/or operations of brownfield industrial settings such as refineries, petrochemical, or industrial gases.
  • B.S. Mechanical/Chemical or similar Technical Engineering Degree
