Project Manager - RPLS Required

We are looking for a Project Manager - RPLS License required to join our team in Austin, TX! 


**This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000**


Responsibilities:

  • Keeps supervisors informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services
  • Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
  • Mentors and trains office and field surveyors
  • Available to occasionally work in the field performing surveying tasks
  • Organizes and maintains survey job files (electronic and/or paper)
  • Accurately prepares field work orders for field surveys, legal descriptions, survey control sheets, and title reviews for ALTA Surveys.
  • Accurately reviews completed Houseline Plats, topographic surveys, plants of surveys, easement plats, geometry and subdivision plats, survey control sheets and Boundary Survey calculations.
  • Prepares and monitors project budgets and complete projects on time
  • Mentoring and job coaching for staff and complete annual staff reviews
  • Assists in resolving any HR issues with direct reports
  • Ensures that contracts are approved and signed by client
  • Accurate billing for projects including additional services for out-of-scope items
  • Monitors and addresses unbilled time
  • Monitors and resolves past due A/R

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 6-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in surveying from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Licensed Land Surveyor

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and technical written communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Available to work nights and weekends to complete a project as necessary
  • Ability to make independent decisions within a general framework
  • Ability to supervise the work of field and/or office surveyors
  • Knowledge of industry related software
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office (if applicable)
  • Must be fluent in the English language
