Project Manager - Solar
Responsibilities will focus on managing the overall project scope, schedule, cost, and risk management on multiple projects. Strong interpersonal skills will be required to build relationships and foster a trusting and open atmosphere with internal and external stakeholders.
PMP Certification is a must.
Wind Turbine experience is preferred.
Able to manage the project remotely, but must be able to make site visits monthly at a minimum or as project demands.
· Project Management Responsibilities - Full accountability on multiple projects including:
· Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships (internal and external)
· Project team management and coordination
· Oversight of project work
· Oversight of project deliverables to meet a standard of care and professionalism in accordance with the contract.
· Track project health and take corrective action, if needed (quality, scope, schedule, cost)
· Manage uncertainty and change (ex; scope creep, change orders, risk management)
· Negotiate commercial agreements and changes
· Perform contract reviews to ensure flow downs from prime contract and adequate protections, insurances, and accurate risk assignment
· Attend project meetings and track issues to resolution with appropriate documentation
· Timely reporting of PIs to document project health and status to internal and external stakeholders
· Timely invoicing and accounts receivable (AR) management
· Team Management Responsibilities:
· Supervise all staff necessary to complete assigned projects
· Coordinate project performance with design team leads, subcontractor project management, owner representatives and other project stakeholders
· Review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules
· Support continual improvement of Processes and Standards for Project Management
· Support continual improvement of Standards for Project Execution (Checklists, Flowcharts, etc.)
Required Experience
· Project Management:
· At least 5 years' experience as a Project Manager for similar projects
· History of application of Project Management processes
· Proficient understanding and application of contract commercial terms.
· Proficient understanding of Project Controls.
· Knowledge and application of Financial Management.
· Thorough understanding of development, construction, design, operations, contract management with emphasis on power industry projects.
· Knowledge of Wind and Solar Projects preferred
· Proficient understanding of CPM scheduling or associated software (Primavera, MS Project)
