Pay Range: Open to negotiate 
Location: Houston, TX, 77059
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-4 or 9-5, working 40-50 hours a week depending on workload
Duration: Long term contract with potential to be direct
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Perform engineering, prepare specifications, and design and check mechanical drawings of equipment for our client's and supplied by outside engineering consultants.
  • Issue RFQ's, evaluate proposals, and manage the engineering, purchasing, and construction of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain the electrical engineering specifications and equipment drawings.
  • Inspect, review, and manage work performed by contractors for performance, quality, operability, and cost.  
  • Review, audit, and provide feedback on the safety practices and efficiency of contractors.
  • Perform cost estimates and preliminary engineering for proposed projects.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and best practices
  • Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation controls is a bonus
  • Compliance with company policies, including the Code of Conduct, is mandatory.
Requirements: 
  • B.S. degree in mechanical or related engineering field
  • Must be local to Houston, TX 
  • Experience (5+ years) specifying, designing, installing, and commissioning tanks, pipelines.  
  • Experience (5+ years) in refining/chemical manufacturing plants and terminal facilities
  • Robust knowledge of Piping and Tank API codes and related industry standards and best practices
  • Experience (5+ years) managing electrical infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Ideally looking for a candidate with about 7-12 years' experience working as a project manager in oil/gas.
