JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for all aspects of project management and project execution related to Development Services and assisting clients with real estate transactions and site development services pre- and post-acquisition. Examples include preliminary soil and groundwater investigations, further site investigations, UST and LUST-related work activities, site characterization, excavation and disposal, and exposure mitigation activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Manage all aspects of project administration (budget, staffing, and financial reports)
  2. Evaluate the needs of a project and effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities
  3. Supervise technical, field, and administrative support staff to achieve established objectives and deadlines
  4. Understand and perform all tasks necessary to complete a project's scope of work including site investigation activities and cleanup strategies
  5. Train field and staff personnel in tasks associated with a project's scope of work
  6. Prepare and review written reports prior to Senior Level review.
  7. Interpret existing regulations and guidance to assist staff in strategy implementation and compliance
  8. Maintain client relations and project updates throughout the lifecycle of a project
  9. Maintain personal client base and manage clients
  10. Identify work opportunities with existing and potential clients to increase network
  11. Direct and support marketing and sales efforts alongside all service areas
  12. Complete projects under budget and oversee and direct administration of projects

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of investigation activities: advance soil borings, soil samples, groundwater monitoring wells, geologic and aquifer studies; laboratory sample preparation, vapor studies, excavation area assessments, and record searches
  • Knowledge of cleanup strategies: product recovery systems, pilot tests for remedial system design, remedial system installation and operation tank removals, and decontaminate manufacturing facilities
  • Creatively scope and bid projects, negotiate fees and change orders, direct issuance of purchase orders, and maintain project files
  • Skills in planning, organizing, problem-solving, and meeting deadlines

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
  1. License: Current or working towards Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer is a plus
  2. Education: S. in environmental science, geology, chemistry, engineering, or related field.
  3. Experience: 3+ years of project experience in environmental; knowledge of environmental cleanup regulations, methodologies, and state regulations are necessary
  4. Skills: Strong computer and verbal/written communication; business development
  5. Additional Requirements: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
