Description:

The Project Manager will lead and motivate a team in managing project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, risk, suppliers, proposals, estimates, documentation turnover, client relations/management, field staff, and other duties required to execute various types of projects including Design-Only, Engineer Procure Construct (EPC), Construction Management, Construction, and Program Management projects. The Project Manager oversees projects from inception to completion and may serve as EPC Project Manager or Program Manager, providing guidance to others in these roles as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide all aspects of multi-discipline engineering projects from concept to completion, including safety, quality, engineering, procurement, construction, environmental compliance, project controls, and public/community relations.
  • Establish project teams, coordinate multi-disciplinary activities, and ensure efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
  • Manage all aspects of project communication.
  • Lead the Project Management team in developing RFP packages, managing bid and selection processes, and creating scope of work documents.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, handling client coordination, strategic planning, master scope management, budget finances, subcontracting, project staffing, environmental compliance, facility support, and schedule attainment.
  • Manage the review, negotiation, approval, and execution of prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
  • Lead internal and external project risk reviews, consulting with the Risk Department as needed.
  • Manage and approve internal and external reports, providing detailed, accurate project cost forecasts and accruals to clients and leadership.
  • Oversee project controls efforts, including cost reporting, scheduling, work breakdown structure establishment, project setup and closeout, and field progress tracking.
  • Monitor project progress, addressing areas of concern and providing direction to meet project schedules, productivity goals, budgets, quality, and profitability.
  • Manage contract closeout activities.
  • Generate new business revenue by developing new client relationships or leveraging existing ones.
  • Adhere to safety programs, trainings, and policies, promoting and managing safety and health performance of project team members and subcontractors.
  • Participate in industry-related conferences and committees.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff.
  • Ensure QA/QC process adherence.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field from an accredited program.
  • 7 years of applicable experience required.
  • Prior experience on construction project sites or in program management within industries such as aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment and work overtime on short notice.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary project team environment.
  • Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software.
