Job Title: Quality Control Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Specialist to oversee all aspects of quality control within our Atlanta logistics warehouse hub. The ideal candidate will have expertise in quality control, supply chain management, and product packaging, with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives. This role will involve conducting inspections, managing rework processes, communicating with suppliers, and supporting the optimization of key performance indicators (KPIs) in the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control functions, including incoming, first article, and field returns inspections.
  • Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications through visual and measurement tests. Reject and return unacceptable materials as necessary.
  • Coordinate return products for rework (RGAs and RMAs) and complete all documentation to confirm rework actions.
  • Document and update inspection results by completing detailed reports and logs.
  • Communicate with product planners, engineers, and suppliers regarding product validations.
  • Oversee the circuit board reprogramming function for Thermal products.
  • Design and manage product packaging, work instructions, and crating for DC & AC Power and Thermal products to ensure safety and protection for products and field technicians.
  • Monitor and improve key supply chain KPIs, including On-Time Delivery (OTD).
  • Resolve supplier technical issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.
  • Ensure corrective actions and communication for technical issues and miss-shipments are clear, concise, and easily understood.
  • Manage and maintain the company's quality audit programs for Age Sensitive and Date Code products.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of quality control processes, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Experience with supply chain initiatives and logistics management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; SmartSheet experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with MRP and EDI systems (Oracle preferred).
  • Ability to use statistical tools like Minitab for data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally and be comfortable with walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods.

Education:

  • High School Diploma OR GED Equivalent
