A fantastic opportunity exists for a Regional Sales Manager covering the South West region. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing a field sales team consisting Area Sales Managers and the sales engineer teams. They will provide ownership of the execution of the sales strategy and guide the operations of the team. Developing the sales team members in technical and sales skills is key. This will be accomplished by developing and driving business plans, managing our channels to market, and coordinating the different departments within the company to drive revenue growth without margin dilution.


Main Responsibilities:

Manage and mentor the Area Sales team (direct reports) in their efforts to attain goals

  • Weekly one on one meetings to discuss opportunities, forecast and call logs
  • Review projects above $30K and advise on key aspects of the value delivery
  • Provide in-person call support on major projects within the team
  • Recruits for new talent and participates in training and onboarding
  • Manages the performance of the team; provides ongoing coaching and guidance to guide success

Provide advisement and mentoring for broader direct strategic sales team

  • Advise on key specifications and aspects of projects as needed
  • Provide technical advisement for process upgrade opportunities

Engage and sell to customers in the region.

  • Work with the regional team to identify target customers
  • Engage customers both independently and in concert with the local sales team
  • Presents company capabilities and the complete product offering to all stakeholders using professional presentations, lunch & learns, and other effective means.
  • Identify and promote meaningful value that improve will improve the customer's business.
  • Utilize a Consultative Selling approach to uncover customer pains and gains to maximize value for the customer.
  • Deploy Customer Value Propositions (CVP) to focus resources on identifying opportunities for and delivering value to the customer.
  • Participates in various networking group activities, professional organizations, and trade shows in order to develop new leads and customers.
  • Delivers technically and commercially innovative solutions aligned to resolve customer pain points.
  • Coordinates with all company internal departments to align resources to resolve customer needs and objectives.

Manage our major channel partners.

  • Create, manage, and update distributor business plans and agreements
  • Support training activities with the field team, both as a presenter, as well as a trainer/adviser to enable field sales to present independently in the future


The ideal candidate should have an engineering degree, with at least 10 years of sales management experience, ideally from a commercial background (industrial manufacturing, healthcare, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, pulp & paper etc.). Proven track record of achievement in positions with significant accountability directly managing a team. Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, outlook and saleforce.com.
