Job Title: Senior Estimator – Self-Perform Substation
Location: Pearland, TX (Houston Area)
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a passionate and talented Senior Estimator to join their team in Self-Perform Substations. In this position, you will contribute to projects that matter—helping communities thrive while solving complex and meaningful challenges.
What you'll do:
- Lead and execute bottoms up estimates for transmission and distribution bids (mainly substations).
- Develop estimate schedules to manage workload and ensure timely completion of estimates.
- Review RFP and engineering documents.
- Focus mainly on high voltage scope vs. civil and foundations.
- Be responsible for detailed documentation of quantity take-offs and constructability analysis.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand needs, build trust, and deliver value.
- Review and incorporate quotes for vendors, subcontractors, bonds and insurance.
- Lead and support project team reviews for estimating quantities and scope of project.
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of direct project estimating experience.
- Strong technical expertise in electrical estimation.
- Ability to work independently or in groups, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, ConEst, and K-base.
- OSHA 10-hour certification.
