Our client is looking for an Engineer or Scientist for thier established team serving the Southeastern Virginia market, currently from the office in Virginia Beach. They are a nationwide firm of growth-oriented Seller-Doers seeking a full-time Environmental Professional ready to take on a senior position as the Deputy Satellite Office Manager to grow their business in the solid waste management industry or real estate markets in Southeastern Virginia. How you can make an impact

The Deputy Satellite Office Manager will wear several hats, including Project Management responsibilities, growing the Solid Waste Management or Environmental Services practices, and serving as a Seller-Doer.

As the Deputy Satellite Office Manager you will contribute to growth and be groomed to lead the office by:

  • Developing new and existing clients
  • Integrating with other Solid Waste Management or Environmental Services staff across the company
  • Managing and being responsible for Profit/Loss of your projects and the business unit
  • Seeking profitable ways to increase Satellite Office staff
  • Providing guidance and mentorship for select Satellite Office staff

As a Seller you will contribute to the growth by:

  • Playing a leading role in new client acquisition
  • Maintaining or growing relationships with existing clients
  • Collaborating with SCS national technical experts as we develop strategies for expanding ways in which we contribute to our clients success
  • Writing and reviewing proposals
  • Enhancing the value of the services that we perform for existing clients

As a Doer you will work with a team of professionals, including national experts in various fields, to assist our clients in resolving a wide variety of environmental challenges such as:

  • Solid Waste Management and Engineering
  • Groundwater Monitoring and Reporting
  • Hydrogeologic Investigations
  • Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Soil and Groundwater Remediation
  • Brownfield Redevelopment
  • Environmental Compliance
  • Liquids Management Issues
  • Air Permitting and Compliance Reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters of Science in an environmental related science or engineering field required
  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years working at an environmental consulting firm required
  • Business Development experience in the Southeast Virginia market preferred
  • Virginia Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Geologist (P.G.) preferred

Valid drivers license and driving record in good standing required
