PTS Advance is looking to speak with Engineering Professionals to join our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, in Fort Collins, CO as a Senior Project Engineer

The project engineer will lead and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, including development and oversight of the project scope, critical path, timeline, spending projections, and financial tracking. The project engineer will also coordinate with internal stakeholder groups to ensure appropriate project requirements are identified to facilitate project design.

Main Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact for project(s), ensuring actions are completed on time, milestones are met, and consistent communication is maintained with stakeholders on project(s) status.
  • Lead project plan development (i.e. prepare/review project proposals, project budget, project documents, scope, user requirements specifications, functional specifications, project goals and objectives, roles and responsibilities, resource assignment, timelines, deliverables, milestones, risk assessment, etc.).
  • Initiate and facilitate project team meetings to ensure an accurate and timely flow of information.
  • Proactively identify project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies in alignment with project team(s) and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify scope creep and negotiate acceptance of scope changes with the stakeholder, including input from site leadership.
  • Monitor and maintain monthly tracking of assigned Capital projects (including but not limited to project budgets and timelines), spend forecast (actual vs. planned), and project budget for updates to Finance.
  • Review and monitor project progress to assure quality and adherence to requirements of contract documents.


Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant scientific discipline required.
  • 10 or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related disciplines.
  • 5 or more years as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, or equivalent position.
  • Experience with managing audit findings, including root cause analysis, CAPA development, and management.
  • Familiarity with project management standards and methodologies including PMI Body of Knowledge.
  • Good understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, technologies, utilities, and cGMP regulations
  • Knowledge of computer operations and software applications i.e. Microsoft Office/Tools, Computer-Aided Design (CADD).
  • Experience with a quality management system (e.g. Veeva /Trackwise) etc.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, FDA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory and safety compliance guidelines pertaining to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
