Our client is a chemicals manufacturer and leading provider of agricultural products, services, and solutions. A fantastic opportunity exists for a Reliability Superintendent (Mechanical) based at one of their production facilities in Augusta, GA.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive safety everyday through leadership and direction.
  • Provide vision for, lead the daily activities of, and develop the Reliability team of 14 including six direct reports including; a Sr Engineer, Rotating Equipment, Sr Engineer, Metallurgical, Sr Engineer, Electrical, Sr Engineer, DCS, and two Master Data Analysts
  • The primary function of this role is to grow a robust reliability centered operation where all levels of the organization are engaged in programs and tools to improve and sustain equipment reliability of the site's approximate 50,000 assets
  • Manage and enhance core Reliability programs, methods, and practices focused on ensuring the asset integrity and reliability of the Rotating, Static, Electrical, Instrument, DCS, and Safety Instrumented Systems and equipment. These programs include Critical Asset Identification, Condition Monitoring, Mechanical Integrity, QA/QC, PM and PDM, Bad Actors, Root Cause Analysis, Materials Management strategies, and End-of-Life
  • Will communicate reliability issues with stakeholders and collaborate to manage business risk support resolution
  • Will be a key contributor to the site's continuous improvement plan and action item management process
  • Is a key contributor to the Maintenance & Reliability Budgeting process
  • Will be a key contributor to the 5-year Capital and Project Plan
  • Reviews and approves capital project packages and equipment specifications to ensure incorporation of corporate, site, and PSM best practices
  • Will contribute to Outage and Turnaround scope development and provide execution support


Skills & Experience:

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline is required
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of Engineering experience in the petrochemical or related industry required, leadership experience preferred
  • Familiarity with a large variety Turbo, Rotating, Static, Electrical, Instrument, Analyzer, and Control System equipment is required
  • Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and related industry codes and standards including
  • Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) CMRP or similar certification is preferred
