We have a great opportunity for a skilled HUB Service Technician. The right candidate for this role will be a hands-on expert, who is confident with working independently. The position requires a high standard of safety performance while performing maintenance at our Livermore H2 Hub. This role reports to and is supported by the Hub Ops Manager. 
 
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Maintain site appearance to standards
  • Provide a working knowledge of preventive & predictive maintenance methods.
  • Test and maintain the pressure and leaks on gas lines.
  • Purge and remedy gas lines.
  • Clean all necessary tubing.
  • Maintain a clean environment.
  • Confidently handle hazardous liquid chemicals.
  • Calibrate instrumentation. 
  • Troubleshoot our hydrogen dispensers.
  • General repair and maintenance.
  • Follow all Safety and Emergency Protocols 
  • Work with/on:
    1. Low and medium (24VDC, 110 VAC, 208 VAC) voltage equipment, including motors, relays, compressors, pumps and PLC's.
    2. LH2 systems, including pumps, generators, and vaporizers.
    3. GH2 systems including compressors (replace oil, valves, heads, etc.) and tube trailers
    4. High pressure hydrogen gas lines (up to 15,000 psi).
    5. Troubleshoot electrical systems, including: 4-20mA system, pressure transducers, valves, electronic and air operated valves, control valves and PLC logic
  • Retain and complete all assigned tasks in the training binder. 
  • Document and maintain the tool and training records for optimal efficiency. 
  • Oversee contractors to ensure all work is performed per customer comment and code specifications.
  • Assist team with various tasks to accomplish new or changing projects.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document and perform inventory transfers
  • Administer the inventory and part processing with the Warehouse and Commissioning Team.
  • Collaborate and aid the Commissioning Team when needs arise. 
 
DESIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalency is preferred.
  • Proficiency in use of hand and hand powers tools, commonly used with installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Capability to repair and problem solve mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Willingness to be digitally savvy to perform projects and other day to day duties.
  • Candidate must be a champion for flexibility and change as key elements to supporting our customer needs successfully.
 
SCHEDULE + BENEFITS:
  • Travel Time: Service Technicians for the Hub will be assigned to the immediate operations at the Livermore location. 
  • Occasional availability during off hours for emergency operations support.
