We are seeking an experienced and driven Site Lead/Supervisor to oversee the operations and maintenance of a utility-scale solar power plant. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and installing equipment at designated project sites while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the daily operation and maintenance of a utility-scale solar facility, prioritizing safety, reliability, and performance.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical system issues efficiently.
Utilize electrical testing equipment such as digital multimeters, meggers, and amp clamps to verify functionality and perform inspections.
Maintain accurate records including work orders, service logs, time reports, and emergency plans.
Oversee Equipment Maintenance and Tool Control programs.
Administer and enforce site safety and accident prevention protocols.
Manage on-site training programs and promote continuous learning and safety education.
Maintain inventory levels of tools, parts, and supplies to ensure operational readiness.
Provide leadership and technical guidance to a team of Solar Technicians.
Ensure vegetation management practices are regularly performed (mowing, herbicide application, etc.).
Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
Valid driver's license required.
At least 3 years of experience as a Solar Technician or Inverter Specialist in utility-scale solar operations.
Solid understanding of DC array systems and inverter technologies.
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and performing basic electrical calculations.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 80 lbs.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
