Site Supervisor
Our client is a Fortune 500 company and manufacturer of industrial gases seeking an experienced Site Supervisor/ Assistant Plant Manager for its Santa Clara, CA facility. This facility consists of three large air separation plants which dispense Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Argon to our customers throughout California and the Northwest regions. We are looking for an individual with sharp leadership skills who will lead as a first line supervisor while also in charge of the supervision of all facets of the air separation plants operations, maintenance, and record-keeping.
Key responsibilities:
- Safety performance, reduction of recordable injuries, Basic Safety Process compliance and process safety management.
- Providing environmental, safety and quality training to the operations & maintenance personnel.
- Support of all aspects of the day-to-day operation, including troubleshooting plant process problems, directly supervising daily plant activities and driving plant projects.
- Working with the operators and support resources to achieve productivity targets in all areas.
- Identifying maintenance concerns, then developing and implementing corrective / preventative measures.
- Collaborate with tactical planning and delivery logistics planning to ensure inventory management of the facility's products.
Qualifications:
Candidates will be evaluated based on the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of supervisory experience in plant environment
- College degree preferred (but is not necessary if incumbent has relative experience)
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- A validated record of success on Safety, Environmental, Quality and Employee Involvement
- Strong plant operating experience in similar plants or operations of similar complexity
- A strong commitment to employee involvement, team building and diversity
- A track record in driving continuous improvement
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A self-starter with confirmed leadership abilities Military candidates and veterans are encouraged to apply!
