Senior Environmental Engineer

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides support as needed for environmental compliance and permitting projects.
  • Maintains current knowledge of existing and proposed regulations and provides technical support to refinery on topics related to environmental compliance.
  • Ensures federal, state or applicable government reporting obligations (e.g., SARA 313 reports; Emission Inventories; NSPS Reports; MACT Reports; Annual Waste Summary Reports, AQMD Regulation Reports) are completed in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Maintains operational records necessary to demonstrate compliance with assigned environmental regulations/programs.
  • Assists with permitting tasks as needed, local AQMD experience is preferred.
  • Communicates effectively with Engineering and Operations personnel to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits is continually achieved.
  • Participates in on-call duty rotation with the department, knowledge of refinery units preferred.
  • Ensures assigned Spill/Upset/Emission Event/Reporting requirements are satisfied in accordance with all applicable regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science degree (or higher) in Engineering or related Science degree
  • Five years of Environmental Engineering or related refinery engineering experience
  • Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Refinery
  • All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card

 

Salary: 125k to 175k
