We're looking for a highly skilled Structural Designer to join our team, where you'll be an integral part of planning, site evaluations, analytical design, and preparation of reports and structural plans. This role involves collaborating with a diverse project team to deliver high-quality documentation and designs across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed construction drawings for steel and reinforced concrete structures, adhering to project standards using engineering calculations, sketches, and design information.
- Produce a broad spectrum of drawing work, from problem analysis and design layout to complex calculations.
- Contribute to a variety of projects, ranging from facility upgrades to new builds, with a focus on industrial and manufacturing clients.
- Perform both 2D drafting and 3D modeling, ensuring all designs align with established engineering practices.
- Tackle various design tasks, including refining rough sketches, preparing structural calculations, and interpreting design codes and specifications.
- Review and finalize design drawings within the defined scope, budget, and timelines, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Manage and organize all project-related documentation, including revisions and plot files, in a structured manner.
- Additional duties as required, in compliance with company policies and standards.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 8+ years of experience, or 9+ years of progressive experience in detailing and design.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of structural design principles, calculations, and design systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, resolving design challenges in partnership with project managers, engineers, and other designers.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with keen analytical and problem-solving abilities.
