Seeking a Structural Engineering Professional (PE licensed) within the Portland, OR area, focusing on projects in semiconductor facilities, data centers, mission-critical installations, and industrial facilities. .
Responsibilities: As a Structural Engineering Professional, you will play a vital role in our design team, responsible for conducting structural analysis and design for various projects. Your tasks will include collaborating closely with the Structural Lead, other Engineers, and Designers to develop design concepts, execute analysis and design tasks, and ensure seamless integration of structural requirements into project documentation and models. Your role may involve leading medium-sized projects or serving as a Sub-Lead on larger projects, offering ample opportunities for career growth and development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer License (PE)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Structural engineering
- Proficiency in US building codes such as IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience leading small teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Structural Engineer License (SE)
- Experience in the design and analysis of steel and concrete structures
- Background in semiconductor or general industrial facilities
- Familiarity with STAAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam software
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently perform Structural Engineering analysis and design tasks, exercising judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ensure accuracy and quality control in all aspects of work, including checking calculations and verifying others' work.
- Manage workload effectively, meeting schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Take initiative in defining scope, forecasting effort, and identifying scope changes as needed.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and contribute to advancing structural workflows and technologies.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Capable of performing field walks, including climbing ladders and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work in various environments, including local office, project sites, or remotely within 50 miles of Portland, OR.
- Willingness to support work in other offices or client sites as required.
- Access to reliable internet service for remote work.
