Overview:
Materials Buyer will be in charge of purchasing pipe, valves, lab supplies, and other materials as needed.
Materials Buyer will be in charge of purchasing pipe, valves, lab supplies, and other materials as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Experience required with procurement (procure to pay cycle) and managing POs from their initial request through their delivery and invoicing.
- Ensures all procurement and contractual activities are handled in a professional and ethical manner and that confidentiality of commercial information is always maintained.
- Documents value capture savings.
- Documents and communicates vendor's performance.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year(s) of experience as a buyer or expeditor.
- Must have TWIC or willing to obtain one
- Experience in Refinery or petrochemical plant environment, preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of Applications.
- SAP experience preferred but not required.
- Can work in fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Strong communication skills - able to effectively communicate with customers and vendors..
- Strong analytical, problem solving, time management, and organization skills.
