Cost Analyst
The Turnaround Cost Analyst is a contract position hired to work under client's technical direction, policies, and procedures.
Role Description:
Position performs tasks associated with reviewing and analyzing business finances to support client's turnaround schedules and plans.
Job Responsibilities:
* Knowledgeable of standard business cost control procedures and practices
* Become familiar with and comply with client's cost control procedures and practice
* Manage vendors, work with allocations, assign skills and schedules, and authorize time reporting
* Review base cost data, budgets, balance sheets, invoices, timesheets, etc.
* Validate timesheets and invoices
* Manage Purchase Orders
* Conduct cost tracking of labor, materials, and other invoices
* Track headcount
* Prepare and issue routine reports
* Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to managers
* Identify performance improvement opportunities
Qualifications & Skills for Success:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with business cost data
* SAP/GSAP preferable
* Proficiency in Excel
* Must be able to do simple formulas, simple pivot, and v-lookups
* Turnaround experience
