Our client is a Southern California-based renewable energy company focused on the production and commercialization of non-food based feedstocks used for the production of renewable fuels, and with the purchase of a Refinery for retooling into a renewable diesel production facility it will be one of the largest producers of renewable fuels. Company was founded with the principle that renewable fuels should come from non-food based sources that are environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable for alternative diesel fuels.
Job Summary:
The Treasurer manages various financial aspects of company and its subsidiaries, including cash management, risk management (commercial insurance, interest rates, etc.), credit facility management, and covenant compliance / tracking. The role assumes responsibility for cash management procedures. The Treasurer plays a vital role in maintaining financial stability, compliance with regulations, and supporting informed decision-making within the organization.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with Treasury functions and activities
- Proven experience in cash management
- Experience with transitioning banking providers
- Knowledge of risk management, including commercial insurance and hedging activities
- Experience and understanding of credit facility compliance
- Previous experience with international treasury and general accounting activities
- Bilingual - Spanish/English proficiency
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and ability to envision all aspects of business finances from large scale to minute
- Proven leadership and decision-making abilities in a business setting
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Treasury Assistant
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of experience in Treasury, Cash Management, or Risk Management
- Public company experience preferred
- Knowledge or experience in the energy or agricultural industry preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Able to travel as necessary
