Turnaround Coordinator

Client: Chemical Plant
Location: Plaquemine, La
Duration: May 2026- Jan 2027 or later
Schedule: 4/10s, 5/10s, 7/12's

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinate multi-craft resources in accordance with turnaround safety requirements, plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, quality requirements, various procedures, standards, practices, etc. 
  • Provide general coordination and facilitation as well as monitor the progress of turnaround activities 
  • Coordinate execution during the various phases of the turnaround 
  • Visit jobsite of jobs scheduled for upcoming shift to perform a safety and hazard review and recommend action to resolve any findings 
  • Submit daily shift reports and 3-shift look-ahead to scheduler and/or representative  
  • Update shift log with progress and other relevant data for relief shifts 
  • Communicate permit needs to operation representative at start of shift 
  • Interface with other turnaround support resources as required by job plans 
  • Confirm material, as required by job plans, are available on job site 
  • Analyze and recommend resolutions of work problems or assist workers in solving work problems or barriers 
  • Performs only work approved by client's work approval procedures 
  • Walk down job packages and verify job readiness with prints/drawings 
  • Perform pre-start up safety review 
  • Create punchlists from pre-start up safety reviews 
 
Qualifications & Skills for Success: 
  • Minimum of 5 years working in a coordinator position managing multi-craft mechanical resources 
  • Ability to read P6 schedules
  • Extensive knowledge of various metals trade skills and associate equipment (pipe fitting, welding, boiler making, crane & rigging,  X-ray techniques and interpretation) 
  • Knowledgeable of other craft skills such as electrical, rotating equipment, instrumentation, scaffolding, insulation, painting 
  • Proficient in reading mechanical drawings, blueprints, isometrics, P&IDs 
  • Ability to understand field changes and red-line drawings 
  • Ability to coordinate the work activities and schedules of multi-craft field work crews
