Turnaround Planner
Client: Plant/Refinery
Location: Remote and travel during turnarounds
Duration: 2 years

Schedule: Hours: M-F 5/8s during planning phase, 7/12s during TA execution (30 - 45 days)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead assigned portion of outage scope through planning and construction
Develop scope for assigned work orders within the outage, identifying secondary and/or support disciplines required.
Create detailed planning activities for each work order utilizing planning templates as applicable. Activities include individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline.
Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution.
Create job planning packages for each work order per guidelines for both internal and external distribution, e.g., bid events, contractor field personnel, etc. Packages may include pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.
Support Air Products Management of Change process, recognizing plant changes and following through on all documentation and recommendations in a timely manner.
Provide contractor field management in all outage phases for assigned contractors, including safety, timesheet verification, field oversight, change orders, and QC verification.
Uphold and communicate high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and on all job sites. Conduct frequent formal housekeeping inspections of plant areas.
Complete close out and documentation as required by standards and procedures.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel required up to 25-35% of the year depending on TAR occurrences and assignments.
Ability to take trips during the Planning Phase to gather information necessary to properly plan work scope defined.
Required to be on-site for the duration of the Outage Execution timeframe to coordinate contractors executing planned work scopes, and to ensure Safe Work Practices and QAQC processes are being followed. Timeframes vary but an average outage duration is 30-45 days.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read and understand P&IDs, ISO's, piping isometrics, fixed equipment design packages, and pipe specs.
Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook) OneNote, SAP, Primavera P6.
Working knowledge of ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME Sec. I, and ASME Sec. VIII
10+ years' experience in maintenance and/or engineering disciplines, preferably with experience in industrial outages, exchangers, pumps, hydrotesting and pipe fabrication
5+ years' experience as a Mechanical Planner.
Previous experience building execution work packages with detailed work plans including safety matrix, picture, P&ID, isometric, bill of material, etc.
