Job summary:
Accountable for the project Vendor Performance Management (VPM) activities for the assigned Purchase Orders, coordinating the assigned Field Expeditor(s)/Inspector(s), to achieve the material supply in accordance with contractual requirements during the Purchase Order execution; on time delivery and manufacturing quality. This position is typically Home Office based with travel up to, but not restricted to, 20%.
The VPM Coordinator is responsible:
- Monitoring the man-hours budget assigned on the project per assigned Purchase Order.
- Preparation of, or providing input to, all required summary reports to the Project.
- Coordination of all field expediting/inspection as necessary to complete the delivery on time and on quality.
- Supervising PO execution activity at supplier facility in accordance with VPM department guidelines.
The role and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Contract review and preparation of relevant VPM project procedures.
- Define the expediting and inspection levels according to the Criticality Analysis provided by the Project.
- Preparing the request for Expeditor or Inspector / 3rd Party Agency assignment.
- Monitoring the man-hours budget assigned on the project.
- Ensuring that all necessary documentation to perform VPM activities are timely available.
- Organizing Hand-Over Meetings and Pre-Inspection Meetings / ensuring predecessors are achieved.
- Ensuring that Expeditors or Inspectors / 3rd Party Agency follow VPM Project specifications.
- Checking VPM Project deliverables (Pre-Inspection Meeting report, Pre-Fabrication Meeting Report, Expediting Report, Inspection Report, Inspection Release Note), before proper distribution to the Project Team.
- Preparing required reports to Project Team relevant to VPM status (Monthly Expediting Report, Expediting Execution Plan).
- Attending VPM recurrent meetings called by Project Procurement Manager and take part of HOM / KOM / PIM with the Supplier, as necessary
- Ensuring and validating the updating progress in IT tools.
- Defining with the Project Team and in cooperation with the Expeditors or Inspectors, any modification to the inspection/expediting level and any mitigation program and/or recovery plan, in order to ensure the contractual requirement in terms on delivery date and manufacturing quality.
- Coordinating the Expeditors or Inspectors, conveying the relevant results within the Project Team.
- Organizing and attending meetings at Supplier (and/or Sub-supplier) premises and/or in TP offices with Expeditors or Inspectors.
Must have:
- Bachelor Degree.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Operational English.
- Strong mobility and leadership attitude.
Nice to have:
- EPC Project Experience
- Expediting Experience
- Inspection Coordination Experience
- Past experiences in quality control activities at workshop.
- Engineering Degree or background.
- Other foreign language.
