Senior Warehouse Material Specialist
Pasadena, Texas
Schedule: 40 hours, M-F, occasional weekends 
Contract to Hire
Experience: 3+ years experience in managing inventory/assets and skilled

Summary:
Lead inventory management activities, namely, planning, executing and coordinating the storage of critical and consumable spare parts at the Pasadena National Warehouse in order to ensure continuity of operations with sound predictability of demand based on trend analysis.

Responsibilities:
o Promote a safe work environment and instill a strong safety culture.
o Work to achieve zero accidents, lost time incidents or recordable incidents by taking a leadership role in safety.
Run inventory replenishment re-order report and process requests accordingly.
Create purchase requisitions, and confirm pricing associated with inventory replenishment.
 Ensure purchase order prices correspond to applicable supply agreements.
o Analyze re-order point trends and make recommendations to operations on any MIN/MAX adjustment to reflect actual needs while optimizing working capital.
o Receive invoices and validate against purchase orders.
o Expedite Purchase Orders.
o Manage sales tax issues.
o Ensure strict adherence to administrative and operational policies and procedures related to warehouse floor and inventory management activities.
o Manage material receipt issues and incidents (shorts, overages, damage).
o Manage vendor invoice and payment issues with Accounts Payable Department.
o Act as the primary interface between suppliers and National Warehouse.
o Prioritize work order fulfillment.
o Monitor back orders and ensure their fulfillment on a timely basis.
o Manage the staging of parts and equipment orders.
o Manage freight activities.
o Manage and resolve issues with freight carriers
o Execute physical material receipts and shipments as required.
o Act as primary contact point and interface with field personnel regarding inventory requests, emergency
orders and work order status.
o Manage and Track National Warehouse Capital Spare (Rotable) Inventory (executed through ERP and actual performance of task)
o Process incoming, and outbound orders.
o Facilitate storage payments.
o Identify and implement savings opportunities related to inventory purchases and shipments.
o Work cooperative with Category Management to create, execute & maintain supply agreements supporting the
National Warehouse.
o Maintain overall physical organization and cleanliness of warehouse.
o Assist in cycle counts and annual physical inventory of warehouses.
o Assist in physical material receipts and shipments as required.
o Assist in identification and disposal of obsolete parts and equipment.
o Execute special projects on an as needed basis.
o Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds occasionally.
o Capability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
o Operate forklift safely and maintain valid operation certification.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years experience in managing inventory/assets. 
  • Google or Microsoft Suites knowledge, especially Excel or Google Sheet advanced functionalities. ERP (Oracle & --SAP preferred) knowledge, especially inventory and order management functionalities.
  • MRP (Maximo) knowledge and LEAN, Six Sigma experience is preferred 
  • Must be local
  • Active TWIC
