Job Description:
Our client, a leading environmental consulting and construction firm specializing in sustainable environmental solutions, is seeking an experienced Air Separation Process Chemical/Cryogenic Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in air separation and cryogenic gas separation design, as well as a strong background in chemical engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Model air separation process simulations.
- Model cryogenic separation simulations (A MUST).
- Develop air separation systems.
- Prepare PFDs and P&IDs, including specifying control loops.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations, heat & material balances.
- Size lines, valves, and equipment. Size relief valves and instrument elements.
- Prepare and modify process control narratives from P&IDs and PFDs.
- Develop process calculation tools using Excel.
- Review vendor drawings/documents for accuracy and project objectives.
- Conduct studies, including cost-benefit analysis, to determine the most effective process solutions.
- Promote value engineering and technical review through periodic process design document reviews.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and EH&S processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven air separation & cryogenic gas separation design experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering required.
- Minimum of 8-15 years of relevant process engineering experience required.
- P.E. certification is a plus.
- Experience with natural gas, biomethane, biogas, or renewables is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of feasibility studies, HAZOPs, and PHA studies preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver's license in good standing required.
Compensation:
$88,000 - $130,000 plus benefits
