Reliability Engineer - Systems / CMMS Administrator
Raleigh, NC (Hybrid/Remote)

The Reliability Engineer - Systems will serve as a subject matter expert for the AM/CMMS, workflow practices, and integration between AM/CMMS, financial, and inventory systems used throughout the pellet making process and product distribution at port locations. This specialist will be the key resource in leading root cause problem solving analyses, developing counter measures, and working with engineering and local maintenance teams to implement the processes to sustain these solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Enforce all safety rules and safe work practices. This includes identifying any gaps in current maintenance practices and leading by example.
- Responsible for sustaining and improving the CMMS (Asset Management in Microsoft D365) and its capability across all Client production facilities and ports. This includes the integration into the maintenance processes and procedures, the data collection for understanding equipment history and reliability, and financial tracking for assets and departments.
- Implement Asset Management (AM) and Inventory functionality in new Client facilities.
- Facilitate problems solving and root cause investigations with local maintenance, plant engineering, EHS, regional engineering and maintenance for significant equipment failures. This includes recognizing when outside resources or internal experts are needed for these efforts and incorporating them into the process.
- Develop/upkeep the criticality matrix for equipment at all sites. Ensure consistent ranking between sites and appropriate revisions over time.
- Define/capture failure modes and process interruptions for major equipment events and determine patterns or common issues. Use historical data to drive future improvements.
- Develop relationships with key vendors.
- Train teams and individual sites on overall maintenance process. Adapt specific procedures to optimize the strengths and maturity of each site without sacrificing the overall intent of the process.
- Comply with safety, good housekeeping, product quality and related regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred or 10 years of equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of experience delivering reliability improvements in a fast-changing manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing maintenance teams and supporting autonomous manufacturing teams as they deliver continuous improvements.
- Must have experience managing P.M. (preventative maintenance) program.
- Proven track record coaching, mentoring, and motivating employees. Must be able to lead by influence.
- Demonstrated experience proactively leading and coaching teams to solve problems, utilizing automatic line monitoring and other reliability improvement processes.
- Ability to partner with cross-functional teams as well as individuals from the operations, maintenance, engineering, and/or controls to achieve goals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to learn other applications related to the job.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
- Must be a self-starter with ability to prioritize workload.
Preferred Qualifications - What Will Set You Apart
- Autonomous and Effective Maintenance in a process environment.
- Working knowledge of Process Mapping.
- Knowledgeable in time, condition, and predictive based maintenance processes.
- Experience in wood processing.
- Working knowledge of CAD software (preferably AutoCAD or Solidworks) a plus.
- Proficiency in implementing and/or maintaining an EAM/CMMS (Preferably Microsoft D365).
- Knowledge of MES systems.
- Six Sigma Certification (GB or BB) a plus.
- Lean/Continuous Improvement experience.
