Our Client is a leading Industrial Construction and Mechanical Services company in the West providing fabrication, construction, maintenance and turnaround services to the petroleum refining and processing and pipeline and products distribution industries. They are looking for a Civil Planner at their location in the Long Beach, CA area. This is a long-term opportunity until the end of 2025!
 
They are looking for a Civil Planner to a major project at a refinery site in Long Beach, CA
 
This person will also be responsible to:
 
 Walkout equipment and develop LTT plans for each piece of equipment from P&ID's 
 Walkout equipment and develop execution plans from equipment and piping drawings 
 Assemble work plans and input information into a schedule
 
Required Experience
 
  Interface with client personnel, vendors, and other contractors to plan the execution of work 
 At least five years of planning and/or field execution experience relative to the petrochemical or related industries. Turnaround experience is highly preferred.
 Practical knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) as related to planning and schedule control. 
 Practical knowledge of common planning and scheduling terms, techniques, and tools 
 Proficient with industry standard planning software including SAP, Primavera® Enterprise and Microsoft® Project 
 Proficient with common analytical computer software including spreadsheet and database programs 
 Administrative knowledge of organizational procedures, systems, and work processes 
 Practical understanding of construction techniques, terms, and processes 
 Ability to comprehend technical drawings, design documents, specifications, and procedures 
 Practical knowledge of construction equipment and construction processes 
 Practical knowledge of refinery process systems and hazards 
 Practical knowledge of procurement processes and procedures
 
  • Proficient in P6 Scheduling software, ability to
    1. Develop and maintain P 6 man loaded/resource loaded project schedule 
    2. Comprehensive schedule analysis on schedule impacts
    3. Create project progress curves for billing, earned manpower analysis , delays and impacts
    4. Utilize schedule variance for reports to dispute contract conflicts
    5. 3 week look ahead schedules

Compensation: $60-$75/hr. depending on experience
