Duties/Tasks:
- Site Visits: Perform regular site visits to observe ongoing construction activities, documenting progress, construction issues, safety, quality, and environmental conditions for reporting to the Project Management (PM) team.
- Scope and Constructability Analysis: Identify potential scope gaps and constructability issues during project planning and execution. Propose alternative solutions to improve design/construction and assist in determining the actionable path forward.
- Meetings Participation: Attend project kickoff meetings and other construction-related meetings to provide input and support.
- Pre-Construction Support: Assist in the development of pre-construction sequencing and outage planning with the Program Management Team (PMT) and Outage Coordination Team (OCT).
- Site Escorting: Accompany PMs and escort visitors to project sites, providing construction input and site access as part of scoping or construction planning efforts.
- Safety Briefings: Develop and lead Pre-Task Hazard Analysis briefings for site visits.
- Reporting: Perform weekly and monthly reporting on construction progress, performance, quality, safety, and environmental observations.
- Issue Resolution: Support the PMT and Construction Team in resolving construction issues and troubleshooting as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Monitor PMT compliance with safety requirements and applicable standards.
- Coordination: Facilitate coordination efforts between the PMT, Construction Team, Contractors, and other functional areas as appropriate.
- Walkdowns Participation: Participate in punch-list walkdowns, one-line verification walkdowns, pre-energization walkdowns, and other checklist/verification walkdowns during various stages of construction completion.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- 5+ Years of Electrical T&D Field Construction Management experience overseeing and managing construction safety, quality, scope, cost, production, schedule, site logistics, and coordination.
- 5+ Years of Electrical T&D Construction Project Management experience managing construction safety, quality, prime/subcontracts, scope, cost, production, and schedule.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Substation, Transmission line, Telecom, and System Protection construction and design.
- Strong understanding of Safety and Quality compliance, with the ability to apply client requirements as needed.
- Ability to establish, maintain, and build relationships with field and office personnel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across different levels of management.
- Proficient computer skills to navigate program databases, generate documents, outage plans, presentations, emails, and locate project information.
- Self-sufficient, self-starter.
